Greetings Newcomer! Welcome to the Game Fest Brisbane website!
This page of information is designed to familiarise you with the event, and to make some recommendations to you to get you started...
Recommendation 1 - our mailing list:
Please go to the Contact tab find my email address 'spelled-out but non-clickable' and send me (Mark) an email saying that you are "interested in attending Game Fest Brisbane" and to "please add me to the email mailing list" so that you get all upcoming announcements and communications.
Here's some more information on attendance and to help you choose some games to play....
TIMING:
[************NEEDS UPDATING***************]
The Event runs from Saturday at 10:30am until midnight (with multiple games running in 2 & 4 hour blocks throughout the day..
i.e. If you attended one game, it would usually run for a maximum of 4 hours, though some games on Saturday run for only 2 hours.
The games start again on Sunday morning at 10:30am and the event concludes at 4:30pm that afternoon. Sunday game sessions on Sunday run for around 3 hours.
ATTENDANCE:
You can attend for one, some or all of the games over the course of the weekend and you can come and visit anytime you'd like.. to see other games are being played; though it's always more fun to play in my opinion. :-)
DINNER EVENT:
There is a usually group dinner on Saturday night from 6pm to 8pm that you'd be welcome to attend regardless of how much or how little you are there over the weekend... It's a chance to socialise and attendees are encouraged to bring their non-gaming partners along to the the dinner as well. The dinner is self-catered (i.e. you pay for yourself), but the GameFest organisers make the group booking. More information on this as we get closer to the time.
We invite adults only by the way; we have no facilities for children to play I'm afraid.
Game Fest Brisbane organisers will be following all Queensland Government COVID-19 safety guidelines, restrictions and policies for the duration of this event. For this reason, pre-registration for this event essential; and we cannot accept any walk-ins or late registrations this year.
Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions you have?
Cheers,
Mark :-)
