COVID Safe plan – Game Fest Brisbane
The following rules and policies will be implemented by the organiser in order to adhere to Queensland Government regulations in the management of COIVD-19:
1. A record of all attendees (name, phone number, email address, as well as the dates and times they are in attendance) will be collected prior to the event and maintained for at least the next 12 months following the event by the organizer. These details will be made available to Queensland Health for contact tracing if required.
2. Signage reminding attendees of good hygiene practices shall be posted at entrances and throughout the venue..
3. Upon arrival, all attendees will be required to manually register their attendance at a sign-in station as well as check-in using the Check In Qld app.
4. Any coffee or tea-making utensils and supplies used must be provided by attendees or the organiser. No equipment or supplies will be provided by the venue.
5. Any attendee who is unwell will be asked not to visit the venue.
6. Physical distancing (2 square meters per person) will be maintained indoors.
- The maximum number of attendees will be restricted to the 2 square meter capacity of the venue.
- Due to the nature of the activity, attendees will be seated at tables in small groups for majority of their time at the venue. Although attendees may change their table every 4 hours a record of who sat at each table will be recorded.
- The organizer will undertake to implement and adhere to all other up to date measures according to Government policies and guidelines at the time of the event.
7. The venue will start out clean (as per the service agreement) and will be left in the same clean-state upon our group’s departure.
8. All rubbish will be removed according to the conditions of use. Any spills or mess will also be cleaned-up during the event and before our group’s departure each day.
- Sanitization stations and supplies will be provided throughout the venue. Hand washing facilities and Alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% ethanol or 70% iso-propanol will be used.
- Attendees are not to arrive at the venue barefoot. Attendees who do arrive barefoot will be asked to return with footwear before they are welcomed to enter the venue.
9. In the event of a COVID-19 transmission event the organizer will be able to provide contact information for the person who occupied the assigned seat to a public health officer.
10. In the event that the venue is declared a Queensland-declared hotspot, the event will be cancelled.
11. No attendees from Queensland-declared hotspots will be welcomed to enter the venue.
